Appointment of an Editor in Chief 2022-2027
The International Journal of Psychoanalysis is looking to appoint a new Editor-in-Chief to succeed Dana Birksted Breen in March 2022. The term is five years, renewable for a further five years.
An international appointments committee from the Executive of the College of the International Journal has been established, with interviews to be held on December 5th, 2020.
Any member of the International Psychoanalytic Association in good standing and with the required qualifications and experience is eligible to apply. Qualifications and experience required include: demonstrated open-mindedness and curiosity in relation to diverse psychoanalytic traditions, being a published author, excellent written English, and proven academic ability in editing. The Appointments Committee is looking for someone with a compelling vision for the future of the Journal and the role of the Editor-in-Chief, compatible with respect for the IJP traditions and the editorial and financial success of the Journal in a rapidly changing professional environment.
